Things and situations are distinct from person to person but it seems to be even more difficult when you get dry from your savings. During this Pandemic “How to Sustain” is a really big issue in front of many individuals.
There are a lot of hurdles with those who have their family eyes on them with many expectations. It’s hard to convince your children when you know that the situation is really getting worse day by day.
We have many questions in our mind that “how long can we survive with the same prospects and who is going to save us.”
We are in the story of “Rakesh Dubey” who is a spot boy in Bollywood Film Industry. In his own words “I don’t know how to sustain this pandemic.”
Rakesh Dubey- How to sustain- with different prospects
During his conversation with the media, he said: “it is really important for him to start working again as his savings are fast dwindling.” Rakesh Dubey has been a spot-boy for the last 30 years. Rakesh says, “We spot boys there on sets from the start to end. All of us are divided into different groups. While some take care of the cast and crew, others are responsible for the food served on sets.”
Rakesh Dubey was not having it any easier even before the coronavirus outbreak. He had been struggling to make ends meet while waiting for the government’s resettlement plan for people whose houses were demolished for metro construction in Mumbai.
He said, “Four years ago, my house was demolished for metro construction. Now I live in a small house on rent in Bandra. I pay Rs 10,000 as rent. So half my salary goes for rent. Now with no income whatsoever, I really don’t know how to manage everything. I was desperate for some cash, so I called Harinder Sikka in Delhi. He helped me, but that’s all.
But, it is okay. I can understand if people can’t help, but it is really important for me to start working again as that will be the right way to sustain”
Rakesh Dubey- When Savings dry up
During his interaction with the media, he continued, “Spot boys manage to get work for some 15 odd days in a month. I earn around Rs 18000-20000 per month. With the coronavirus outbreak, production houses have suspended work, and now due to the lockdown, we are stuck at home without work.
It is like a break that we don’t even want and can’t afford. I don’t know how we are going to manage. I have a family of three children and a wife. Whatever little savings I had managed, are fast dwindling.”
Even In the USA, which is the most powerful country in the world, people are protesting on the road against lockdown. They say, we might save ourselves from the pandemic but we will die if we can’t serve our family in this tough time.
Rakesh Dubey- People say “God will help” when they are helpless
There is a time when people leave their hope and turn to grace from God. People seem to be very helpless when they say “We don’t know how to move forward, but we believe God will help.” It happens when there is no hope from the real world and things getting hard with running time.
Although, It’s a big list of people who are helping with their money but still the ratio of the people who are in need of help is very big in number. Some production houses like Yash Raj Films and stars like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Varun Dhawan among others have come forward to support daily wage workers and technicians.
However, Dubey has not received any help as yet, not even ration. While some actors are transferring money directly to the workers’ bank accounts.
There are a lot of real stories like “Rakesh Dubey- with his Helpless Moment.”
People who are not rich enough have no other option to live their life. They are at the spot of “do and die.”
